Japan's second largest telecommunications operator KDDI has announced plans to sell the first standardized NFC phone in the Japanese market. Early purchasers, however, will struggle to use the NFC capabilities as the number of deployed NFC-enabled POS terminals is in the hundreds rather than the hundreds of thousands.
