Stagecoach: sustainability pledge will increase profitability

Stagecoach, one of the UK's biggest bus and coach operators, intends to cut the greenhouse gas emissions from its fleet by 3% by 2014. With this in mind, all of its 13,800 drivers will be trained in eco-driving. Apart from helping the company to reach its sustainability goals, the move will also significantly reduce operational spending and exposure to risk.
