Carpetright, the UK's leading carpet specialist, saw total group sales decline by 6.7% and UK like-for-like sales fall by 15.1% for the 25 weeks to April 25, 2009. Although diminishing revenues in the furniture and floorcovering sector persisted into the first few months of 2009, and it struggled to maintain sales in the UK, Carpetright's business in its Rest of Europe segment has seen growth.
