Research has identified 15 cystic fibrosis treatment candidates across the pipelines of several companies. Most of these projects involve the development of enzymes or antibiotics (54% combined), while only one involved an anti-inflammatory. Mucolytics and ion channel therapy, meanwhile, each account for a 20% share of the pipeline.
