Although greetings cards could be perceived as a wasteful product, as they are merely thrown away after use, Product Launch Analytics has reported on a new type of greetings card that can be used as an air freshener after the celebration has ended, thereby extending its life. This is a novel idea that could catch on.
The air freshener greetings card has been launched by Tornauto in Mexico and is designed specifically to be used in vehicles. Called the Tarjeta Aromatizante, it comes in a strawberry fragrance, in either a general greetings card or birthday card format. This one sounds like a clever dual-use product and a unique way to extend the life of the birthday card.
Meanwhile, Minigrip has launched the TerraClear 100% Biodegradable Bags in the US. These food storage bags address environmental concerns, claiming to break down completely on landfill sites. With consumers becoming increasingly concerned about the use of plastic bags, they could welcome these products.
A different sort of bag, namely garbage bag, has been launched in the US by Trinity Packaging Corp. The Sturdi Mint-X brand of recycled drawstring bags is unusual in that it comes in a mint scent. This could make taking the garbage out slightly more pleasant.
Meanwhile, SpaceNK has begun distributing the Dayna Decker Couture Candle in the UK in an unusual Mahogany fragrance. The candle is priced at the premium end of the market at between £25 and £45 depending on size, so would be expected to make the home smell very pleasant.
Also in the UK, Betterware UK has launched the Ratty Instant Rodent Repellent, which is an eco-friendly rat repellent. The product is said to replicate the odor of other rodents with the intention of preventing new pests from moving in and, for this reason, is a humane alternative to the traditional rat trap.
Finally, Nitoms has released the sleek looking Koro Koro Yofuku Cleaner Mini in Japan, which is a compact folding clothing brush that uses an adhesive roller to lift hair, lint, dust and pollen from clothing. The brush is designed for on-the-go use, folding down to the size of a mobile phone, thus enabling it to be carried easily in the pocket or handbag. Users therefore have no excuse for having lint on their clothes while out and about.
