This week, PLA's top innovation honor goes to the Neat 3B Face Saver Gel, which claims to help prevent excessive facial perspiration caused by stress or warm and humid weather. New to the US, the gel is said to work when applied to affected areas once or twice a day before using any other skincare product. As well as preventing makeup and sunscreen from running, Face Saver is claimed to stop perspiration from dripping into eyes. Tom Vierhile, director of PLA, said: "Very few personal care products have ever tried to tackle the issue of facial perspiration, and many have been wipes or sheets that take care of the problem after it's happened. Face Saver is the first product that functions as, and is promoted as, a facial antiperspirant - just the ticket to looking cool this summer."
