Transport operator Arriva has placed orders for its UK bus business which will see more than 460 new vehicles come into service during 2008.
The buses, representing an investment of more than GBP63 million, are being deployed across the group's UK businesses in North East and North West England, Yorkshire, the Midlands, South East and Southern England, Scotland, Wales and London.
Mark Bowd, group technical services director at Arriva, said: "We have continued to work with a range of suppliers to ensure our businesses have the flexibility to provide the best local service for customers, with vehicles which are suited to the needs of the passengers and the local operating conditions."
